However, thanks to her unique genetic code, she survived with the same mutation that saved her father's life, tempered by her mother's unique heritage.Like her father, Martina is a genius level intellect with a dark side: under severe physical and emotional distress, she transforms into a creature identical to the Hulk. Thanks to her lycanthropic heritage, however, Martina has a great deal more control than Bruce. She can change at will, retains most of her rational mind while in the throes of an "episode," and can return to her normal form without help. This level of control, however, leaves her during the full moon, where she endures berzerker rages come nightfall that result in a transformation she can't control, more like that of her father: she truly becomes the Hulk, and cannot return to her normal form until sunrise.
At present, Martina is a member of the New Avengers, fighting under the name of "She-Hulk." She is a medical student at John Hopkins, and travels a lot to spend time at home with her family...made easy, thanks to her Uncle Tony's private jet.
